Madeline Tries to Clear out the Array

Madeline prepared herself to face the ants in the old Nellis Array. She was glad she had prepared. The ants were giant. Nearly the size of cows, Madeline thought. She blasted away at the giant insects. They came on. She reloaded and reloaded-firing more and more. One room was cleared out but she noticed she was low on ammo. She pushed on. The next room there were more insects. She fired away. Then she heard a loud metallic "click" as her weapon went dry.

Then she heard the screech of the mutated ants as they rushed her the noise intermixing with her own screams...
