Madeline Is Out of Ammo (Lakelurk)

Madeline remembered now--She had heard talk of the "Lakelurk" and while she didn't quite belief the rumors she knew now those prospectors or caravanners weren't lying.

She tried to run. She had to distract the creature to get away--at least away from the shore she could have a better chance.

Madeline drew her weapon and fired. The noise and a grazing hit or two meant she was able to distract the creature but only for a moment. Then she heard the metallic click of her weapon as it ran dry. The last thing she heard were sonic waves of the Lakelurk then...the deafening sounds of her own screams...
