Madeline Helps the Prospectors

Madeline couldn't stand by as the raiders attacked and killed the prospectors. Besides--if she didn't who knows the Bandits might find her.

Madeline moved down behind a rocky outcrop behind the raiders. She opened fire on them and she dropped two dead and wounded a third before they realized they were being attacked from behind. The confusion spread among the raiders who thought they were going to get easy pickings. They broke and ran, though two more didn't make it far as Madeline and the Prospectors gunned them down.

"Thank you stranger." one older prospector said, his weapon at the low ready his heart pumping and his face flush with energy. "You didn't have to help us out. But we are thankful."

"Its no problem." Madeline said, holstering her weapon. "Scum like them don't need to be wandering the wastes. I am glad I could help."

"I don't know how we can thank you but please accept these caps stranger." The prospector proffered a bag that jingled with caps.
