MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

Your fist went straight for Ligeia's jaw, knocking her entire face to the side and sending a small bit of blood from a burst cheek across the wood. Your next strike did the same to her other side, loosing yet another squib of blood. She turned back towards you and smiled, her teeth webbed in blood.

Ligeia, it seemed, wasn’t above fighting dirty. Her knee shot up, nailing you between the legs and immobilising you in pain. Staggered, you were helpless when she wrapped both of her hands around the back of your head and rocketed hr skull towards you, headbutting you in the nose thrice before she relinquished her grip and threw you to the side, landing on your chest.

Your nose was bleeding, the fresh streaks trickled into your mouth as you turned your eyes to see Ligeia get back to her feet. You weren’t going to let her. Springing back up, you hooked low and tackled into her, taking your hands to the backs of her knees and pulling in tandem with your shoulder charging into her chest. It was strange. You couldn’t recall ever being in a fist fight before, and yet the more you engaged in it the more natural it felt.

Once again you were on top of her, and this time you would not waste the advantage. You started hammering down your fists on her head, managing to get one or two good licks in before she brought her hands up to defend herself.

A quick strike to the gut saw her hands recoil, and you finished your **** with an elbow across her cheek, producing a clean stinging cut.

You’re not sure why you did what you did next, you had lost yourself in the struggle and had become someone else. Your hands reached around her neck and squeezed until her eyes painfully bulged from her sockets. Her hands reached to your face, pushing it however she could in an attempt to get you off her. It only made you squeeze tighter.

You might have killed her, you might have even planned to. Who knows what would have happened if Ligeia didn’t use the last of her energy to send her fist into your throat, freeing her long around to grab on to you and roll, sending you both into the crisp water of the lake. Her fist had left you unable to breath, and panicked, you began to sink into the deep abyss, your vision blackening.
