Luck out with Jiro

I was on my way to school about thirty minutes early the next morning, humming merrily to myself. Life was great now, as I had Momo as my girlfriend, and could easily take it further at any time at this point, not to mention Ochako was already well on her way to being mine as well, and I had made food progress with Midnight.

Of course, I was keeping an eye out for any opportunities, and to my surprise, I found Jiro also on her way to school, walking with her friend, Denki. She was carrying a guitar case. I decided to approach them and asked, "Hey guys, how is it going with you two?"

"Oh hey John, nothing much it happening, just heading to class, Jiro is dragging me there early, says I should ask Momo for tutoring," Denki griped.

"The hell do you mean "dragging?"" Jiro deadpanned at him.

"I mean that you kept bugging me until I agreed," Denki grumbled.

"Well, if you actually cared about your studies I wouldn't have to," Jiro told him.

Before Denki could get into an argument, I cut in, "So Jiro, you play guitar?"

"Um, yeah," she said, blushing a little. "Electric guitar actually, it's just a hobby, but it broke down on me, so I'm bringing it to the Support Class to see if any of them can fix it."

"That's pretty neat," I told her.

"No, no, it's nothing," she said, a little flustered. "It's not really important to my becoming a hero, it's just... Well, I just can't give it up, you know?"

"Hey, nothing wrong with that," I told her. "Even heroes are human, and humans all need their own methods of destressing."

"Yeah, I gotta agree with John on that one," Denki agreed. "And as far as hobbies go, you can't go wrong with music."

"...for once Denki, you're actually saying something I can agree with," I quipped, getting a laugh out of Jiro.

"Ah, it's nothing," the electric Quirk user chuckled, before he paused and said, "Hey wait, what do you mean "for once?""

"He means you're an idiot, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day," Jiro snarked, and Denki slumped, comical clouds of depression over his head. "Why don't you go on ahead, I wanna talk music with John for a minute."

"Hey, we can all talk music!" Denki said.

"Yes, but you still need to catch Momo," Jiro replied.

"Damn, thought I could get out of that..." Denki grumbled before walking off.

Unable to believe my luck at now having Jiro alone, I started to walk towards the area of the building with the entrance closest to the Support classes with her. "So, you play an instrument?" Jiro asked me.

"Me? No, not really, never had much talent, though I do have plenty of albums from my favorite bands, I think I have an autographed one somewhere," I said. "Best instrument I actually played was a flute in elementary and middle schools..."

We chatted another minute before I finally got her to meet my eyes just outside the door we would do in through. Now she was entranced, and now I just needed to think fast for a trigger to give her.
