Collars: You can't **** a **** to feel something she doesn't. At least by means of the collar. You also can't **** her to permanently harm herself or others. Other than that the collar compels obedience as long as the order is lawful.

Bracelets: A bracelet is the ultimate sign of trust a master can give to a ****. It replaces their collar and removes all ability to **** a **** to follow orders. It's purely something for registration purposes. While nearly impossible to remove it can be made to look like an everyday object like a watch.

Mother: The person who actually has the child

Sire: Person who gave the child.

(TL;dr Humans went to war with aliens, almost got wiped out, created futas, futa war involves capturing and enslaving instead of killing. Gideon IV was a really awesome colony world that everyone wanted and now everyone is fighting over it.)

When humanity reached the stars, it was like the California Gold Rush X1000. Every nation and megacorporation was looking to colonize their own planets. Claim the resources and just overall out maneuver their rivals. Several wars were fought among various groups before a tense peace managed to take hold.

That stopping of the bloodletting is what allowed the human race to survive. We came into contact with an alien species, first contact was peaceful and soon trade and general goodwill began to build up between the species. At least that's what we thought. It was ten years later that the alien race had unleashed a secretive bioweapon, specifically targeting the human genome it drastically reduced both life expectancy and fertility.

The war that followed this discovery was brutal and violent as a cure was desperately sought as both sides attempted to utterly annihilate the other. Fortunately humanity won. They were still faced with extinction by their enemies plague.

The only way to save themselves was to create something new. Something that wasn't entirely human but was. That was when the current species of human was created.

The population was decimated by both the war and the plague so when the new species was created it was determined that they had to both be able to breed and be bred. Thus the futa was created. Their genome was unique enough to avoid the disease but similar enough to still be called human. Just improved in every way science could manage. Gestation was reduced from 9 months to 3. They were stronger, and faster. More resilient.

Now its long after the war and all of the previous humans have died. Their nations have been adopted by their successors. War is wasteful but its the only way to resolve certain conflicts. A set of strict laws and enforcement provisions turned war from a bloody spectacle into more of a sport. While militaries still train in lethal weapons to deal with pirates and any other alien threat that might come along. In wars of nations, they fight to enslave their enemies. In some battles, it's more an indentured servitude rather than slavery depending on the issue, with those captured allowed to go home after a certain time. In wars for Class 1 colonies, there is no release. The need for colonists is far too great. Gideon IV is one such colony.
