Lord Levar, a Young Summoner

Born and raised in Bevelle the largest city and capital of Spira, home of the Maesters of Yevon, you have been lucky enough to have never witnessed Sin’s power or carnage first hand. The Crusaders sacrifice everything to keep the monster away from Bevelle and Luca. Both of your parents served the order of Yevon within the ranks of the Crusaders; and both perished while battling Sin near Luca. Thus you came into the care of the priests of the temple in Bevelle, you can’t remember your life before your parents died.

When you came of age, you made a journey around Spira visiting many small town and villages, you have seen the wake of the massive and destructive monster. In the ruins of what was once people’s home, in the dead bodies that litter the ground, and in the eyes of the survivors; some driven to the edge of madness by Sin’s toxin. It was on this journey that you resolved to end the beast, and bring about another Calm.

Returning home, you devoted yourself to studies and rigorous training, in Bevelle it was relatively easy. Considered the capital of the world, it was home to many of the best mages and warriors and destination of several more. As a student, you showed promise in both Black Magic and Swordsmanship. Undertaking both, you became quite proficient. Yet you knew that, however skilled, magic and weapons stood no chance against the might of Sin. Thus you became an apprentice summoner.

It took years of training both mind and body, slowed somewhat by your other studies. It was the hardest thing you had ever done; yet it was as nothing compared to the Cloister of Trials. Testing your mind, body, and soul, the Cloister took you three days to complete, you nearly died from thirst let alone the trials. Yet at the end, the Fayth joined with you and you walked out of the temple for the last time. As Lord Levar, Summoner and hope of Spira today is the first day of your pilgrimage, however, every Summoner needs his Guardians.
