Chapter 2 by battleoide battleoide

What do you do?

Look over the 'Master Remote'

The Master Remote looks more like a smart phone than a TV remote, the face of buttons you would expect replaced with a touchscreen. The device has a strange amount of weight to it, feeling more solid in your grip than you'd expect from it's rubbery plastic construction. There are no visable seams or screws on the remote, nowhere to put in batteries.

You swipe your thumb across the screen to power it on, the remote buzzing to life. "USER IDENTIFIED, GENETIC LOCK SYNCHRONIZING" barks a robotic voice from the remote.

There's a jolt of static across your palm. You drop the device onto the table, wincing in pain from the shock. "GENETIC LOCK SYNCHRONIZED, WELCOME NEW USER" barks the remote.

You cautiously poke the remote with it's cardboard box before picking it back up.

What do you do next?
