Chapter 9 by enfw enfw

What does Annette do?

Look for something, anything, to cover up with.

She looked around desperately. There had to be something she could cover herself with.

There, on the other side of the hallway, was a newsstand with the school newspaper. It was better than nothing.

The newsstand was close by. It wasn't a long distance. But ... she would have to streak there completely naked.

There wasn't time to think! Anyone could walk by at any second! The hoodie was stuck so high in the locker, her entire lower half was exposed. She couldn't let anyone see her like this!

She steeled herself. It had to be now.

She unzipped the hoodie, and ran. Totally naked.

Oh my god, she screamed silently to herself. She couldn't actually scream out loud - that might draw attention.

Her hands were practically glued covering her privates as she ran. She couldn't believe she was running naked down the hall. It was like a literal nightmare become real.

It felt like it took forever but she made it across the hallway and to the newsstand.

Her hands shaking, she grabbed a newspaper and wrapped it around herself. Unfolded, it was sort of the size of a towel, but made of thin paper. At least it did cover everything.

Then the bell rang. Class was starting.

Oh no, she thought. My perfect attendance record!

That was the whole reason Julie had done this to her -- to prevent her from attending this class. She couldn't let Julie win like this.

But ... could she really go back in there, wearing just this newspaper?

There was no way to secure the newspaper. She just had to hold it up with her hands. If she let go, it would fall off immediately.

Also, the paper was very thin and cheap. It might rip or tear easily. She was also worried it might even be a little transparent, she couldn't really tell without a full-length mirror.

Plus, if she walked into the classroom like this, everyone would clearly know she was naked under it. It wasn't like the hoodie, where there was some plausible deniability that she might be wearing shorts under it. The newspaper was definitely at least a little translucent, and it would be clear she wasn't even wearing underwear beneath it.

Maybe if she ran, she could make it to her dorm, put on some real clothes, and run back before she was marked absent? But she wasn't sure how well the flimsy newspaper would hold up to physical activity like running. What if it flipped up as she ran, flashing passers-by? Or worse, what if the cheap paper fell apart while she was only halfway across campus, leaving her completely naked again?

The clock was ticking. She had to make a decision.

Does Annette go back to class like this?
