The Doctor looked puzzled. The TARDIS wasn't showing any signs of some great world ending event occuring. So why had it woken him up and chosen this exact spot. He knew where he was, just nearby Rose's home, he'd been here countless times before. But why was he here?

The Doctor shook his head, enjoying the mystery even if it came at the expense of his sleep.

Then the answer hit him. Rose! The TARDIS must have picked up on his loneliness, realised that he needed a companion and so it brought him to Rose.

Grinning with joy at having solved his little puzzle he ran a hand through his hair, he had to look his best when he saw Rose. Everytime they met they became a little more intimate and The Doctor knew it wouldn't be long until they took their relationship a few steps further.

He locked the door to the TARDIS on his way out and patted his pocket to feel the reasuring weight of his sonic screwdriver. Then it was off up to see Rose.

When he arrived the door was locked, he thought about entering with his sonic and giving her a suprise but decided it would probably be too much too soon.

Instead he went with the tried and tested traditional triple knock...
