Log on to the WiFi

I hung around the flat and looked out onto the court for a bit to see if anyone was around. It was all pretty quiet, I could see 1 or 2 people moving in but it was pretty dead. I also noticed how easy it was to see into other peoples flats. Some had put some post-it note messages in the windows, one even had a Pikachu picture made from them. I had heard this was a common thing with all the new movers, you got a welcome box with some snacks and essentials, including post-it notes. But overall there wasn't that much interesting happening, maybe moving in so early was gonna mean a slow start to my new life.

With not much to do and no one else moved in I decided to hook my laptop up to the wifi and check it all works. After a bit of fiddling around, I managed to log onto the campus Wifi. The connection seemed good and fast luckily. I doubt I would have any issues streaming videos or downloading anything.

My laptop was as well, well sort of it. It was 2nd hand but much better than anything I had used before. I had developed an interest in photoshop and film editing while studying media at school so my parents had treated me to a laptop good enough to use all of the software to use the Adobe programmes I wanted, it an unexpected gift for passing my exams. My parents aren't poor but these kinds of laptops when new are pretty expensive, hence it being 2nd hand. I was about to begin installing all of the programmes I would need and generally thinking about how to kill some time.
