Little Adrien, Caregiver Marinette

Natalie was typing up next week's schedule for her employer when she heard a buzz go off at the door. She took one look at the screen displaying who was there, checked her watch and pressed the button on her microphone.

"Come in."

She pressed another button and a buzz went off, the front gate of the Agreste Estate opening by itself as the guest let herself in.

"Hi Natalie."

The girl Natalie let in was an interracial teenager with a pair of pigtails. She was modestly dressed in a shirt, overcoat and jeans. She was carrying what looked like a bright-pink gym bag that she claims that she made herself.

"Marinette, hello. He was put down for a nap, but it should be over by now."

She gave a nod and walked on by, knowing exactly where to go after having visited the mansion before.

She remembered the first time she walked into his room, aghast and in awe by his library of video games and how the room felt bigger than both her home and the family bakery they ran.

Marinette was an aspiring fashion designer, so when Gabriel Agreste was hosting a contest for designing a hat, she knew that this was the opportunity she needed to start her career. She was happy to have won and is looking forward to the fashion-show, but when an ad was put out by Gabriel Agreste for a caregiver to care for his son in the afternoons, it made her feel lucky for once in her life.

While she knew that Gabriel Agreste had a son, she didn't know was that he was a little.

Marinette had started babysitting on the side. She did this for the extra funds, as favors to friends and because she was diagnosed as a Caregiver. Whether it was because of nature or some pavlovian form of nurture, she didn't realize how good with kids she was until her diagnoses.

She walked over to the right-hand corner of the first level of the room. While a large portion of the room looked like it belonged to a teenage boy, one section of it was made to look like it was for a baby. It had a large, pastel colored carpet with a toy-chest, shelves full of picture books and folded diapers, a changing table big enough for a grown-man and a mobile that was hanging over a crib the size of a queen bed.

She peered down inside the bars of the crib and wanted to coo.

The boy was Marinette's age, but being a little made him look much younger in a lot of ways. He wore a Easter-green t-shirt and with a pacifier dangling out of his gaping mouth, nearly falling out as he silently snored. One of his arms was over his head while the other clung to a stuffed animal, a black cat with big, expressive green-eyes.

Marinette pulled the baby-blue blanket down, revealing that he wore no pants, instead a diaper big enough to fit him, and he rubbed circles into his stomach.

"Adrien," she sang as quietly as she could manage. "Time to wake-up."

"Mawinette?"

He gave a yawn that made her want to coo again as he rubbed his eyes. She put the pacifier back in his mouth which he accepted without complaint as she lowered the bars on his crib.

As he took a few comforting sucks from his binky, he gave his stuffed cat a more deliberate hug of affection as she look up to her with more alert, expressive green eyes.

She knew Adrien when she was both in and out of his headspace and Marinette knew that he was currently in it.
