Link tries using the potion on Epona, but accidentally touches a spider on her fur instead.

Link decided to camp for the night by the fire, and when he awoke the next morning he looked from his horse to the potion and back. Deciding to waste not, want not, Link opened the bottle and poured the salve on his bare hands before walking over to Epona and touching her fur. Unbeknownst to Link, however, was the fact that there was a black widow on Epona's fur right where he first made contact. It disappeared in a flash of magic, with Link being none the wiser. After standing there, touching Epona's fur for several minutes, Link realized nothing was happening and shrugged, moving away from his horse. Then, to his surprise, Epona reared up and looked at him with fear in her eyes.

It was only then that Link felt something wrong with him, and was only able to look around in confusion as he felt his lower body go numb, and his perspective rise slowly. It only took a few seconds, and Link looked down to see that his waist now transitioned into a carapaced spider abdomen, with eight hairy legs and a red skull on the back. Experimenting, Link realized he could walk with his new legs, as easily as he could with his old ones. He walked back and forth a little, not realizing as he did so that a pair of pale breasts swelled on his chest as the rest of his torso became more feminine, his face becoming beautiful, and very enticing. His lips expanded into larger, softer ones that promised a very good time, and his eyelashes grew longer, Link's eyes seeming to give off a continual "come hither" stare.
