Link tells Midna to cast the ritual, and enjoys spending time with her like this.

After what had happened with Midna using her raw magic already, Link didn’t want to risk it going wrong again, and so told her that she should try the ritual. If he was being honest with himself, the idea of taking this vacation, especially with Midna, sounded fantastic. It hadn’t been too long after saving all of Hyrule and the Twilight Realm that he’s been given a post in the Castle Town Guard, and ever since then work had been steady. Not that it was a terrible job, far from it, but being able to really go wild and say goodbye to all his responsibilities like this sounded kind of amazing.

That was clearly the answer Midna had been hoping for, her face splitting into a doggy grin that had her long canine tongue loll out cutely, and as she had promised gathering the materials for the ritual and performing it only took a few minutes. That done, she took a step closer to Link, her eyes alight. “Well, now we can stay like this as long as we want. My people will just think we’ve always been like this, and that you being here isn’t odd at all.” Then she came a little closer and gave Link a peck on the cheek.

The expression of affection made Link jump a little, his cheeks blushing. What was that? His surprise didn’t mean he didn’t want something like that. Hell, even when she’d been an imp and he a wolf, there had been some chemistry there, something Link had wanted to grow into more. She had seemed to know that, and always enjoyed teasing him with it. Right now though, he didn’t want to be teased. He wanted the real thing.

To his immense surprise, Midna reached out and put her hands around Link’s neck, pulling him in to do the same. She started into his eyes, the two almost at the same height, and said what she’d been thinking. “Now that we’re both enjoying a nice vacation from being ourselves, I don’t have to worry about being Princess of the Twili anymore, just as much as you don’t need to worry about being the Hero of Light. We’re just two anthro wolves, two people attracted to each other. Let’s just do it.” She pulled closer to him, her furry breasts rubbing up against Link’s chest in a way that made his sex drive rev up even higher, and leaned in closer to his head, nipping at his ear sensually with her teeth.

It took all of Link’s concentration not to just start boning Midna right then and there. He was rock-hard, and she looked so gorgeous, with her black fur and her orange eyes and her strong yet sensuous body...but they’d been friends for so long! Could they really just completely change their relationship like this, making it sexual, without there being further repercussions?
