Immediately, Zelda was at his side, holding him, hugging him. She ran a hand through his hair as he sobbed. "Shh...shh...it's okay, Link. You're going to be okay. I don't know what will happen next, but we'll get through it together." Frowning, Zelda looked Link in the eyes. "Am I really that monstrous to you?"

"No," Link said, not missing a beat. "No, not really. I'm just worried about you. I don't want this to change who we are." Pausing, Link looked away before asking, "Can we stay close again tonight? I know it might make our changes go faster, but I need it." Zelda nodded, and the two prepared for bed, Zelda wrapping herself around Link, keeping him feeling warm, safe, and secure.
