Link defeats her anyway, gaining the Gerudo's admiration and respect.

The second things seemed more difficult than normal, Link was tempted to rely on his old set of skills, that he had used in his original body. After all, they'd served him well thus far in the journey, hadn't they? But a smarter part of himself knew that was folly. This body was not build for swordsmanship, it didn't have the strength for it. Trying to win that way would only lead to a potentially deadly loss. Instead, Link leaned harder into his Sheikah instincts, and threw a smoke bomb to obscure his opponent's vision.

Through a combination of precise strikes, evading attacks, and sheer luck, Link managed to pull out a narrow victory, sending the powerful warrior to her knees. "I yield!" she said, sounding annoyed to have to be speaking those words. "A Gerudo and a Sheikah have not fought each other since the Hylian Civil War. You've proven your strength to me. Know that you are now welcome in the Gerudo Fortress, as an honored guest." Amazed to hear that, Link was stunned as the women left the room, leaving Link to escort the last carpenter out safely.

"Wow," the man said, clearly impressed with Link's skills. Of course, he was also clearly leering at the more female aspects of Link's body, to his growing annoyance. "Even though I'm from Kakariko, I haven't met many Sheikah. Thank you for saving me."

Not feeling like it had necessarily been worth all the trouble, Link rolled his eyes and told the man, "It's fine. Just don't pull something stupid like that again, because I won't bail you out a second time." He nodded, and once they were outside the Fortress's perimeter, he ran off.

"Who...are you?" came a voice from behind Link, and he turned to see Sheik there, staring at him. Looking at the mysterious man who had helped Link in his journey thus far, he felt a stronger kinship now than ever before with him. Link wanted to tell him what had happened with the Great Fairy, and get help from him in fixing this. But, a different part of him whispered, he could also pretend to just be a Sheikah returning from out of country, and get closer to Sheik than Link could ever get.
