Lil overhears some morning glory in her parents' bedroom

Lillian Menard shifted uncomfortably and woke to find herself curled up in one of the living room chairs. She sniffed. A hint of smoke, whiffs of beer and booze. And sex. She rolled her shoulders and smiled. It had been really fun watching Gary get it on with Stuart and his crew of sketchy hangers-on. Though they were all pretty nice to her and really seemed to like Gary. Lil's feet were cold where they stuck out from the blanket someone had tucked in around her. It was early morning and a little chilly here downstairs, despite how hot it had been all day and into the night.

Lil stretched and yawned. Things were a bit of a wreck in the living room after the party. The floor mattress was still in the middle of the room with a double layer of towels in the center. She'd been in the front row, watching So. Much. Sex. Gary kneeling behind Bernie, fast and loud, to the cheers of Stuart's beach crowd. Gary on top of Stuart, buttocks pumping, going up Stuart's butt. Stuart's friends getting into it with each other. Somewhere in the middle of watching all that, she had given herself an O and crashed out. She blinked, head a little fuzzy, her mouth tasting off.

She'd get a glass of water. It would be warmer up in bed. She took the blanket with her and walked into the kitchen for a glass of water, then refilled it and drank another. On her way back through the living room she noticed a big suitcase sitting in the hallway. Another one. With big pink luggage tags from a cruise line.

Mom and Dad were home.

Lil didn't even know what that might mean. They weren't expected for days yet. Did they walk in on the party? She had a moment of dizziness, then shrugged and walked up the carpeted stairs toward her bedroom.

As Lil walked down the hall, she heard sounds from Mom and Dad's bedroom. She smiled, hearing the familiar rhythm of the bed creaking. Good ol'Mom and Dad were at it again. All was right with the world. If she just went to sleep for a couple more hours, she'd wake up to pancakes and apologize about the mess.

But a voice rose above the sounds of thrusting.

"Yes, Gary, yes, yes, yes!"

What?

Lil put a hand on the door to the master bedroom and eased it open.
