Lie in wait,as the doorbell rings

Katie and Melissa both gasp in surprise as the loud ringing of the doorbell stuns them.

"Oh my God!" Melissa exclaimed, and Katie chuckled a little as she rose to answer the door.

"It's just the door, Missy!" Katie said while she walked across the room. "Must be some late trick or treaters."

She grabbed a couple gumdrops from the candy dish and opened the door.
