Let Donny ask Katy himself

"Hey Donny, I've got an idea. How about I invite her over here and you can ask her yourself?", I reply.

I don't wait for his response and get up and walk over to Katy at the bar.

"Hi sweetie", Katy says. "How were your meetings?"

I'm a little distracted in part because of the conversation I just had with Donny and partly because Donny wasn't wrong. Katy looks incredibly hot.

"Meetings were uneventful, but I think this evening will be more interesting. I just ran into my old friend Donny at the tables over there as I was coming into the club to look for you. I'm a bit embarrassed to tell you, and Donny would probably kill me for telling you, but he was checking you out before I got here and kinda has the hots for you."

"Interesting.... and....", replies Katy.

"And he's had a few and it's his birthday and he just broke up after a long term relationship and he really wants some company and it would make his day if you came over and the three of us visited for a while".

"Go back to the 'he has the hots for me' part", Katy say. "What would make you say that?"

I pause, should I tell her the truth?
