Let's see if the boss is as bad as they say.

-whoops, this became a longer chapter then I thought it would.-

It's probably going to be more of a challenge to seduce her then any of the others but you think you can do it. As you hum a bit and tune your guitar you notice her looking at you and looking away as soon as your eyes meet. Your performance on stage has an effect on a number of people in the bar but you don't really care right now, what matters is that Jenny is stealing glances and looking at you longingly when she thinks you aren't looking her way. You make sure not to look at her directly very often so she can indulge herself, let her think you haven't caught her looking so she'll keep doing it.

When you've sung your last song you buy two cold beers from Maria and walk towards Jenny's table. ''Can I join you? I got you a beer.'' At this Jenny suddenly jerks her head upwards and looks into you eyes with her hazel colored ones like a deer caught in head-lights. She seems confused by your appearance at her table. ''Eh Um Yeah, that's okay take a seat. You're ostracizing yourself if you do though.'' As a reaction you grin and sit down next to her. ''That's fine with me, you're the one I want to sit with tonight. Congratulations on Your promotion.'' A wry smile crosses her face as you say this. ''Yeah, it's not really working out for me. We're closing less cases then before I got this job so my superiors don't like me and my subordinates think I used money or connections to get the promotion.'' You did notice that her suit is too expensive for a cop of even her rank. After you let her talk about her situation at work some more it sounds like she tried everything she could think of to close more cases, to make her bosses and subordinates like her but neglected herself and hasn't been acting like herself since the promotion. ''So, have you tried just being you? It sounds like you've been trying all kinds of masks, but being yourself usually works best whether it's for getting people to like you or to get work done.

After that little piece of advice the conversation quickly turns to cheerier topics, through the night you learn that she is indeed from a wealthy family but tries not to use that. Her overbearing father makes that hard and to stop him from setting up arranged marriages she eventually told him she's lesbian and came home with a prostitute she hired to act like her girlfriend. Not that she's lesbian or bi she was just **** for him to stop. You also learn that she can't cook at all but is otherwise quite proficient at housework an enjoys doing it as it calms her down. ''I'm not sure if I've asked yet but I'm drunk enough now. ''So, why are you being this nice, did you think I was lonely and rich, are you teasing me, trying to get in my pants or is this really you?'' You were expecting this question at some point, it's normal for someone disliked to be suspicious when people act nice. ''To be honest it's the last two. This is just who I am, but I'm also trying to get in your pants. If it was only that last one I would have talked to Stacy instead of you, she seems to have the easiest pants to get into of everyone here.'' This gets you a chuckle from jenny. ''You'd be surprised. She's really just a tease, I've never seen her go home with anyone but her friend Linda. Maybe they're a couple. Or a package deal, you never know. But If you do want to get in my pants I'm fine with that today. If you want more then a one night stand however you'll have to wake up before me and make a really nice breakfast. Deal?''
