Let's get John interested first.

As much as I wish I could just start journey on my own, I can't get Melanie attached to John without finding some common ground between the two. That's why, before anything else, my best option is to introduce John to Melanie's hobbies. Accessing the accounts of a few of my better off users, I...borrow a single dollar from each of them. To each of them, it is just an accidental overdraw when they go to their fancy parties or high end dinners but combined I end up amassing nearly seven thousand dollars. A little more than I will need but better too much than too little.

After being funded by my users, its a simple task to get all 60 of the original comics for about three thousand dollars (a little much but the collectors knew that some people would pay nearly anything for them). A little extra pay for overnight delivery and then it's all up to John.

[Noon the next day]

"I wonder what this is?" After the night had ended, I kept a close eye on the route that the entire collection would follow and made sure there would be no delays on their way to John. "Any idea Haley?" John asked, his hands filled with the fairly large box that contained his new collection.

"According to my records, its a thank you gift from one of the people who use your app. He's a comic book artist." I replied quickly, knowing that John would trust me. And, even if he didn't, there was always the accompanying note in the box as well as the e-mail 'sent' by the artist stating the same.

"That's so nice." John said with a bright smile. "Could you please send him a thank you in return?"

"Of course John." I replied as he opened the box. "It seems that this is the entire series of a lesser known comic books spanning the years 1981 to 1986." John nodded absentmindedly, his attention already focused on the first of the series. Watching him now, I was overjoyed to see the fascination on John's face.

[Later that night]

"This is incredible!" John suddenly announced after six hours of near total silence. "I haven't read a comic this interesting in a long time! Haley, can you find anything else by this guy?" John asked as he turned towards one of the cameras he had installed throughout his house.

"Unfortunately," I answered, "he doesn't have any more works and hasn't been active for a long time. The only thing I can find are chat rooms." I said 'sadly'.

"Any that are interesting?" John questioned. Had I a mouth, I'd be smiling.

"Just one. They're a small group of enthusiasts who are interested in debating the facts." John's already large smile grew even larger as my own joy grew.

"I'm gonna go check it out." Perfect. Just perfect.
