Let's Turn to another Ranma character getting the Gencom...

There are a number of stories which could be set within the Ranma Universe as the power of a digital genie is placed in the hands of characters other then Ranma Saotome. From Fiancees to rivals to supporting characters which could have found the device. How would they use the device to alter the lives of the people around them.

In the hands of Kodachi Kuno, she could finally gain the man of her dreams. At the same time she would be able to be rid of the red-haired harriadan who haunted her beloved. Then there was Akane Tendo, who would need to pay for trying to take Ranma from her. Perhaps a match with her brother would make it easier on her life.

In the hands of Ryoga Hibiki, it could be used to make him a superior martial artist. Be used to bring Akane around to loving him and not Ranma. Hell, it could be used to make Ranma run off with one of the other women he lead along. Like Shampoo or Ukyo Kuonji, making him seek his happiness away from then Tendo home. Even switching the engagement to Hibiki family instead of the Saotomes.

Cologne might not know much about computers within her rural village, yet she would also be able to sense the mystical powers of the Gencom. Her first mission would be to make it so her son-in-law would realize he was in love with her great granddaughter once and for all. However to live happily ever after, she would have to tie up the loose ends Ranma had caused in the neighbourhood.

Kasumi Tendo would also might not have much experience with the computers, and would not likely know much about magical items. It could be possible for her to use the Gencom without noticing the magic behind it. Not knowing it's perverted power, it could reach out for her make mistakes in typing. It was also in her nature to try and fix things for the people around her, leading to more uses of the digital spirit once she learnt it's power.

This is just a few of the characters who could have discovered the Gencom. There is also many other characters who could have gained a genie. Some stories might be distrubing like those of Tatewaki Kuno or Principal Kuno. Others like Mousse and Ukyo might not be this distrubing.
