He started with the main issue at hand, hand flying to his pants and fumbling with the button and zipper in his haste. With them off he patted himself down.

Lex let out a sigh when he felt familiar bits, ignoring that slight twinge of dissatisfaction, it had been there forever; nothing new.

He double checked that the door was closed before shimmying his pants down a little bit to give it a closer inspection. Biting his lip at the feeling he rolled his penis around in his hand a few times.

He frowned slightly, was it his imagination, or was it smaller than usual? Softer too.

The pubic hair was different as well, the slightest bit smoother than it had been when he last checked.

He unbuttoned his work shirt next, he’d not noticed anything crazy in the mirror but it didn’t hur to check.

Wit the shirt unbuttoned he scrutinised his torso. He was scrawny, awfully so. Skin-and-bones was an apt descriptor. But now, on his chest, was the slightest impression of pecs.

Lex took a step back as his view was abruptly replaced by a large box with a few tabs inside. before he could read anything another box appeared on top, flashing.

Lex knew a menu tutorial popup when he saw it.

This is your main menu from here you can access your character sheet, inventory, journal, UI settings, Glossary, etc. Basically anything relevant to the world can be found here, more tabs may appear in the future.

Start by opening your character sheet. (btw you don’t have to poke it like a boob, just picture selecting it.

He did so, glaring at the ‘character sheet’ tab. It opened to a window with all of his stats, like if he was an RPG character. No further box popped up so he just read it.

Strength governs the strength of your body, how much you can lift or carry and how hard you can attack.

Lex tapped his finger against his mouth. That was useful, but didn’t tell him what was taking two off of all his stats.

He tried the HP bar next.

HP - Hit Points

How much damage you can take before dropping. Going too far into the negatives will result in ****.

Max HP = Base STR*4 + Base END = 35

HP Regen (points per minute) = Max HP*END/2000 = 0.16

MP - Mana Points

Your ability to cast spells or use special abilities. Spells will not be cast if Mana is insufficient.

Max MP = Base INT*5 + Base WIS = 111

MP Regen (points per minute) = Max MP*WIS/1000 = 1

It dinged after Lex closed the MP menu.

Hit the X on the top right to close the menu entirely (or think ‘exit’) alternatively use the back arrow to go back.

Do so now.

He thought ‘back,’ the menu shifted back to the broad menu.

He followed the instruction, the inventory had 6 slots, all empty, along with a counter showing his current funds, all $543. There was also a little model of his character in the Da Vinci pose with his clothes displayed and a few empty boxes next to fillable slots.

There was a skills and abilities tab which was mostly empty.

There were only 10 slots for active skills and 1 for passives. He mentally pressed on the passive skills.

Passives are abilities and skills that have a passive effect on a character.

Max slots = LVL/5, min 1 = 1

He pouted, but exited out anyways. Can’t fault the devs for balancing things.

The UI setting let him change the box visibility notification settings, it was pretty self-explanatory. He turned off the notification sound with malicious glee. And set pop-ups to appear to the side unless called. No more surprises for him.

The Glossary was split up into a few sections, world lore just showed all the stuff he was already aware of. There was an Abyssal lore box next to it which was ominous but completely empty. The bestiary was also split into ‘mundane’ and ‘abyssal.’ Similarly for the Notable Characters. Those showed the people he knew, though with vastly underpopulated character sheets. Just their age and a description. The stats all had question marks next to them. There were no people in the Abyssal version.

A notif popped up on the corner of his vision and he brought it up.
