Going to?
Leave...
It was a hard decision to make that day, but in the end, you decided your self-worth was more important than your relationship with Kay...
"I can't do it Kay..." You told her, a tear dripping from your eye as you stood there in her embrace for the last time...
She told that she understood, and the two of you held each other for a long time before you finally let her go... You packed your bags that night and left, heading for your parents house where you explained what had happened and that you couldn't stand to stay there any longer... It hurt to share that tale out loud, and more than once your family had raised eyebrows as you did your best to leave out the more sordid parts of what had ocurred...
Months pass by....
You continued working, saving everything you could, trying to start your life over, alone this time... You stayed single, doubting yourself everytime you thought about trying to start another relationship. You knew the day would come when you were ready to do it again, but that wouldn't be anytime soon for sure.
Then... The day finally came when you had enough money to leave. A few thousand dollars in the bank was what it would take to purchase your ticket out of your family home and leave your past behind. You sold your car and most of your possesions and purchased a train ticket to the west coast...
The ride was long and boring, but as the train began to slow upon reaching the station, you looked out the window, watching as the sun began to rise over the mountains to the east...
Time for a new life...
