Leave immediately and follow the road to the west towards the Moist Passage.

If the rumors are true and Sadista's tower has appeared in the Musky Swamp, you only have two options for crossing the Moist Mountains. The most direct path would be through Fort Clockbok, but there's another path you can take by following the road to the west. That road is still walked by caravans heading to the town of Hidesville, but the road still goes beyond that towards the Moist Passage, one of only two ways across the mountains. However, there's naught but monsters and wilder folk across the mountains, so naturally very few but adventurers and deviants enter it now.
