Chapter 11 by brevdravis brevdravis

Take her with you, or let her go?

Leave her.

Having gotten what you wanted, you turn to leave. You walk through the halls of the mall, and the sounds of the woman's sobbing fade into the distance.

Right now, you think that it would be a good idea to find some other people. Now that this world is ruled by ****, you'd have to be an idiot not to get together with a gang. The question is, where to start?

You reach the entrance to the mall, and proceed out into the night air. There is a full moon, and it illuminates the parking lot easily. The only other light comes from a long ways off. It is a faint orange glow, that seems to emanate from a group of buildings near the mall. Craning you neck, you listen, and you think that you can make out the sounds of music, along with a few cheers.

Enthused by this sign of life, you begin to walk briskly in the direction of the light and sound. The sound becomes louder as you approach, and you can definately hear male voices, shouting and singing. It doesn't sound too violent, more like a frat party.

Eventually, you come to a corner. Turning it, you see a large bonfire, surrounded by twenty or so men. They are cheering, and many of them have bottles in their hands. The music comes from a small stereo that seems to have been set up near one of the buildings. With no power anywhere else, you wonder how they got it working, but push that thought aside.

You wonder if you should just bluster in, or if a more subtle approach would be appropriate?

Barge in, or try to do it diplomatically?
