Leave and go home

I found my back and quiclkly changed into my old clothes. I didn't care about showering, I just wanted to try and find my friends in town. Stuffing my PE kit into my bag, I threw my bag over my shoulder and left the changing room.

I walked down the road from the school and turned off down the footpath that was a shortcut to home. The path cut through an overgrown wooded area, that dipped down to a small pedestrian bridge across a small river. As I walked down this path I turned a slight bend and got to the bridge. Sitting on the bridge was Danny, a kid in my year, and one of the school bullys. He sat there talking to one of his friends, well more like a gang member really, and they were smoking away.

I slowed down my walk, wondering if I should turn back. If I did I would be labeled a coward by him, and picked upon, I suspected. We'd been on the same site at footie today, perhaps it'd be okay.
