Chapter 2
by Korrin
What will Theron do next?
Leave Kass for now. Theron finally has a lead on the black dragon.
Theron stared after Alexander, stunned at his reaction.
Maybe he had come on a little strong, but he was just so happy to realize that his friend was alive.
However, now he had another reason to get **** upon the black dragon. It had taken away his family, and his best friend, only to give his friend back, but as a completely different person who held no memories of himself or Theron.
And apparently it was terrorizing others as well.
Theron looked around the tavern quickly, to see if those men he had overheard were still there, and sure enough, they were still sitting in the dark coner, drinking and mumbling amongst themselves.
He hoped they were sober enough to be coherent.
Theron placed his hands firmly on the table between the two drunks, and wait until he had their attention.
"You have information on the Black Dragon?" he asked when they finally looked up at him.
"Aye, I do, sonny. I hear the bugger gone and set stuff on fire, up at the Northolme's farmstead, nought but a week ago."
"Northolme's farmstead? Where's that?" Theron asked hurriedly.
"Why, it's nought, but an hour's walk due north of the village," said the man at the table, the other man nodded along in agreement.
"Thank you!" Theron said, and he sped out of the Tavern.
He was giddy. He had never been so close to his prey, and to think that the Black Dragon had been there less than a week ago. He still had to hurry though.
But what should he do? Should he head back to the Inn to inform the mercenaries where he was going or to get backup? It's not like the dragon would still be at the farm. He only needed to ask a few questions and check for tracks, and he'd be gone for three hours at the most.
What will Theron do next?
