After wolfing down your Mother's breakfast you look around to see your family still eating. Casual conversation ensued when normally the family would be divided for breakfast. Steve in his room, Kimmy on her laptop on the couch, you lying in bed or headed to a friend's house, your mother cleaning up or preparing to go to the store. Your father sleeping in on a Saturday. But here you all sit. Normally you'd be having the conversations being discussed during dinner. "How was work, what's new at the bakery, how was your stream today, etc." But with you done with breakfast and your family still eating you decide to begin the conversation.
"So, I have the beginnings of a plan. Dad you said you would be promoted to partner soon? That is step one. I'll get a job as the mail courier for the firm, and then help you move up further. We will deal with the current mail carrier, Steve that's you and Kimmy. Meanwhile I'll be joining mom, wedding season is coming up correct? The bakery is going to be going into overdrive. A little extra help won't hurt until I can get the mail carrier job. Steve? Keep up duties and your appearances, Kimmy? Keep going to school. Keep me appraised of any interesting figures coming to town to visit the school. If you meet anyone who has any family of particular importance tell me. Otherwise we keep appearances for the time being. I don't want anyone knowing what happens in this house when no one is around. If anyone asks what Simon is up to? Tell them he decided to go work on a cruise. I'm his cousin staying in town to look for new opportunities. Are we all clear?"
When you started talking your family pulled their attention to you. Some were mid bite. Anytime you directly point to someone they respond post haste.
"Excellent. Now when you are all done do as you wish. It's Saturday. Let us enjoy the weekend and get working on our plans on Monday." You say holding your glass to indicate a toast. Your family raises to meet and you all sit back and finish eating.
