Laura

John answered the phone with a groggy "Hello?"

"It's me....", Laura sobbed, "..Laura..."

"What's wrong? You sound upset!" John asked

"I finally left the bastard. Could you please come and get me?" she sniffed.

"I'll be right there", he replied

After hanging up the phone, he rolled over to talk to Taylor, only to find her asleep. He quickly picked up a pair of sweatpants off of the floor, and jumped in the car. Looking at the clock, he noticed it was 3am. Thank god its Saturday, he thought.

Showing up in Laura's neighborhood, he noticed her standing outside her appartment complex with a small suitcase. She jumped into the passenger side, eyes puffy and red, hand filled with kleenex.

He couldn't help notice she was wearing a short baby blue terrycloth robe, her long legs splaying out into his passenger seat. She blabbered on about what a dick her husband was, and how she needed to get away.

"You could stay with us until things calm down," John offered, "You can stay in the guest room. "

"You are so sweet, John!" and Laura leaned over to give him a wet kiss on the cheek.

John turned to look at Laura, and smiled. His eyes were drawn to her robe, which was now partly open and displaying a matching baby blue thong.

"I thought things could get better," Laura confided, "I thought that if I dressed sexy for him, that we could make love and things would be better. But.... he didn't want me" she started to break again into uncontrollable sobs

"He's a bastard, I never liked the prick anyway, forget about him!" John said, trying to help.

After a moment of uncomfortable silence, they arrived back at the house. John helped Laura with her bag, and up into the guestroom.

"You are such a sweetheart, John" Laura said, "thank you so much"
