Veevee placed the pay phone back into the cradle, a slightly sour look to her face, "They aren't answering. You don't think anything happened do you?" She asked, reverting to Mother Duck mode.

"I'm sure they're fine, Veevee. We'll call again in a little while." He answered, covering up a little worry of his own. Papa Duck mode has crept up on him a few times in the past.

"Oh, I'm so excited. I can't wait for Gary and Lil to meet Kathryn and Bryan. Show each of them how a couple can be. Lord knows we aren't the totally best example..."

"Yes we are. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but I believe with love anything can make it through." Hank answered as he tipped the bellhop that was taking their bags to the taxi.

"I just want them to find that one that can love them for them. I think Gary and Bernie are good, but...I don't know. She seems a little unsure of herself at times. I wish she had a Jasmine to make her feel more comfortable in her own skin. Her mother tries, but...I think her success is a hindrance at times. She needs someone her age to tell her she's great, and not her boyfriend because he's 'supposed' to feel that way. Hes 'supposed' to tell her that. As is her mother."

"I can see your point, but..."

"Hey, mack you getting in the cab or what?" The taxi driver asked.

Hank smiled, "You're from New York, huh? Yeah we're getting in the cab." Hank said and opened the door for his wife.
