Later, on Metropolis

Lois and Lana's apartment, Metropolis

Lois Lane had just finished dressing, having gotten up early. She'd been both anticipating and dreading this day for weeks -- while talking to frauds like Lex Luthor usually made her sick, she'd been looking forward to finally getting a chance to do some digging aroung LexCorp. She'd had them in her crosshairs for months.

Meanwhile, Lana Lang had just woken up, her naked form stretching catching Lois' attention from the corner of her eye. Lois looked over at her wife and smiled. "Morning, babe."

"I'm guessing you can't come back to bed?" Lana asked with a look of mock disappointment.

"I wish I could, but I've got an interview with Lex Luthor today," Lois explained. Usually, there was nowhere Lois would rather be than naked with her gorgeous redheaded wife -- especially when their girlfriends, Kara (aka Supergirl), and Karen (aka Power Girl) were there with them. But she enjoyed her work as a journalist, and was damn good at it. She'd taken down her fair share of dirtbags and criminals over the years, and now she was looking to expose Luthor and his dealings with Emperor Doom.

"Ugh. You're gonna need a shower after that," Lana answered.

"You're telling me. The man's the biggest sleazebag on Metropolis. I'm not looking forward to talking to him," Lois admitted. "But I *am* excited to dig up some dirt on him..."

"I'm sure you will -- I'm looking forward to the day we get that smug bastard sent to prison. But don't take too long -- Kara and Karen are going to come over tonight. We'd hate to get started without you," Lana smiled wickedly.

"You know, we spend most nights together with Kara and Karen," Lois mused. "You think it's time we ask them to move in with us?"

"Why not? We've got a big enough place, and a big enough bed for the four of us. I'm sure they'd love to move in. We'll have to run it by them."

"You think we'd get anything done with them living here? You think the 24/7 sex wouldn't become a problem?" Lois teased.

"Sex with you, Kara & Karen isn't what I'd call a 'problem'. Would you?" Lana shot back.

"Never," Lois agreed. "Well, I'd better go get this overwith. Wish me luck, babe."

Lana got off the bed and went to kiss her wife. "Good luck dealing with that pompous blowhard, honey. Love you."

"Love you too," Lois replied before leaving their apartment.

LexCorp HQ

"This interview is over," Lex frowned, his cordial demeanor giving way to frustration. "You need to leave. Now."

"You haven't answered any of my questions, Mr. Luthor. Can you honestly not tell me any of the details of your business deals with Emperor Doom? You don't know anything about Tamaran?"

"I'm not answering any more questions, Miss Lane. And you have no evidence to support your accusations. If you publish anything, you will be hearing from my lawyers. Now, you need to leave the premises, or I will have security escort you out."

"I understand. Good day, Mr. Luthor," Lois said, leaving the office. She knew she wasn't going to get any answers out of Lex, at least not directly. And she wasn't going to find out anything if security threw her out. So, she pretended to grudgingly leave the LexCorp meeting hall, quickly sliding into the first hiding spot she could find.

"Never liked that damned reporter," Lex muttered to himself, leaving the meeting hall. "Hopefully the Daily Planet stops hounding me for interviews now..."

Lois followed Lex down the hall and quickly ducked into his office. Time to test LexCorp's security against the WayneTech stealth generator she'd been given -- 'if this works, I owe Mr. Fox a gift basket,' she thought to herself.

Fortunately for Lois, WayneTech won out that day. LexCorps' tech was some of the most advanced in the galaxy, but you never bet against the Bat. Lex dialed in the holocommunicator, and Emperor Doom and Atrocitus popped up on separate displays.

Doom was the first to speak. "Ah, Luthor. I take it our little project is going well?"

"Oh, it's very near completion," Lex reassured. "All we need is the red lantern battery... Atrocitus?"

"You'll have it soon. With that beast's rage... the Red Lanterns will be unstoppable."

"And maybe I'll finally be rid of those damned Kryptonians," Luthor added.

This didn't sound good. Luthor and Doom were making deals with Atrocitus? And who was the beast they were talking about? Perhaps most importantly to Lois, what was Lex planning for the Kryptonians? She counted Kal as one of her closest friends, and she and Lana loved both Kara & Karen... if something happened to them, she'd make Lex suffer.

Lois remained hidden for the rest of the conversation, intently listening and recording every detail she could. As soon as the call had ended and Luthor left the room, Lois immedately went through the office desk and Lex's personal computer. Some files were encrypted and impossible to hack, but the reporter got enough to piece things together.

Superman, Supergirl and Power Girl were almost unmatched in the galaxy when it came to raw strength... except by the Hulks, most of whom resided in Avenger **** space. Luthor and Doom were building... something, something that would be able to amplify an inviduals' rage, hence the need for the light of the Red Lanterns. They'd no doubt be using it on the Hulk when he battled Superman in the Contest of Champions. If they did that, it was likely that one of the two combatants would kill each other, and there would be all out war between the Justice Knights and Avenger ****. On top of that, the only limit to the Hulk's strength was his rage... adding a Red Lantern ring and being under their control was a terrifying thought.

It would be next to impossible for Lois to contact Kal or Banner -- preperations for the contest were not allowed to be interrupted, and those rules were heavily enforced. Still, she knew Supergirl and Power Girl wouldn't hesitate to help -- after all, they were lovers. It was convincing the She-Hulk that posed the potential challenge -- they'd have to convince her they weren't out to hurt Banner or to give Kal an edge in any way.

Lois quickly made her way out of LexCorp HQ, and headed home. With Kara and Karen coming over, there was going to be a lot to talk about on date night.
