Frank was taken to a Hospital in the city where, after being oprrated on, Dana stayed at his bedside that night.
Sleeping in a chair, Dana wakes up to the touch of Franks hand on her hand. "Dad, how do you feel? Dana asks, hopingeverything was back to normal. "Dana." Frank said weakly. He wasn't the same person Dana knew at this point. "Ever since you came to your Mother and me, we knew you'd be a handful." "I miss her." Dana sharing the emotional baggage, thinking about her Mom. "I see her when I look at you." Frank continued. "You are so eager to grow up, and I have been holding you back." Dana was shocked at this. "Dad don't say that. We'll sell the Trailer and buy a house and start over." Frank calmly laid his hand on his Daughter's. "Dana, there's no going back I want this moment to be my moment to redeem myself." Everything seemed to have froze in time. "Dana, I'm sorry that I failed you, but...I love you....." Frank gripped Dana's hand and when the EKG announced that he died, the grip slowly loosened. Dana was left at her Father's bedside finally alone.
