Lando's Female Friend

Luke opened the door and saw a beautiful young woman stand before him. She was slightly taller than him and had the most elegant red hair he'd ever seen. "You must be Luke," the woman said with a smile, walking into his room as she stretched. The youth looked at her, puzzled, yet slightly interested. "You can just call me Jade. I'm a friend of Lando's - he told me that you could use some company tonight."

"Thanks but - how did you even get here?"

"Well, some of the evacuees from Cloud City were being captured by the Empire on the border of the system. Lando got word of it and pulled some strings. The alliance is providing shelter to any refugees from the planet. It is a miracle that we even made it back at all," she sighed, sitting down on his bed. Luke was still confused as he watched this woman with an arousing curiosity. "With everything that happened, I figured we both could use the company. I'm not going to know anyone else here so I figured you might just be my best shot at getting through the night."

"We both have lost something." Luke lifted his arm.

"Lando told me about that," she said, her eyes wide as she studied his arm. She patted the seat next to her and beckoned for him to come; he followed eagerly. "There is a lot of talk going around here, on the base. People are saying some incredible things about you - like that you faced Darth Vader alone and lived to tell the tale. You must just be the bravest man in all the galaxy."

"I wouldn't go that far," Luke frowned, folding his arms as he recalled his loss and desperation to survive. He turned his head toward Jade and couldn't help but be enthralled by her beauty - the emerald green eyes that reflected back at him, luscious lips that formed the most delicate smile he had ever seen.
