LIMITED ONTOVERSE GLOSSARY

WIP! Will fill this out more when I have time, but suffice it to say it will explain any non-standard real-world term I use here. Here are a couple examples found in Other Ontoverse Materials:

IDOX - Inter[D]imensional Organization of Xenskippers - 'eye-docs' in spoken parlance. Something like our U.N., but interdimensional.

skaj - /sk/ like 'sketch', /a/ like 'and', /j/ like 'Zsa Zsa' - Interjection/Noun, Hildagaen (?0?0000 - unknown TRID) profanity. Originally a short for skajoctr (archaic, "wet-waste"). In modern use, an impolite term for "sewage" or "farm effluent". Often used to lament one's own situation, as if the utterer were surrounded by sewage.

XS - Usual acronym for "Xenoskippers" or "Xenoskipping", denoting those who regularly transit between dimensions.

Found in TANNIS SZOCJA OF ISCHARISLA (R4U0902):

progad (also PrOGAD) - Production, Operations, or General Activity Drone - An automaton for specific tasks. May be place-integrated, or associated with a mobile 'body', humanoid or otherwise. The term "high-progad" is a colloquialism used to describe drones that are specifically designed to mimic a human.

Candymaker (Also 'Candymaker Labs' and 'Candymaker Holdings') - A far-reaching diplomacy and trade firm, often working closely with various IDOX interests. Founded by Erga Candymaker, an elder statesman and top educator in Xenological and Xenographical trade across dimensions and groups of dimensions. Mentor of Bailey Bridgman, Kalin Adriksehn, and Hendric Simmons.

Temponis - Capitol city of Heliopar on Ischarisla, and third largest city on the Ischarislan Earth. Major education centers for IDOX can be found in the XS free zone. From Teme Polgna, old Ischarislan Gnarpanian for 'Serene City'.

teleontonic - a propagative, radiant energy independent of any singular resonance signature from a particular path. Teleontonic signals can be directed between dimensions, though there are limits regarding distance through transreality, speed, and limited direct connections without necessary relays.

GATEOUT/GATEIN - leaving/arriving at a dimension.

Colaganot - /Col/ like 'coal', /a/ like 'advance' , /ga/ like 'gull', /not/ like 'no' - Someone from Colaganon (S2U3710)

Valiant-Valedictors - Something like the Boy Scouts, but also different to the extent proscribed by any legal ramifications. They exist on Ischarisla, but as an interdimensional adventure and education group, the group occupies multiple paths and is widely known. A "Junior Commander" is the last occupiable rank before the adventurer graduates to the Valedictor system.

klaskara - /klas/ like 'class', /ka/ like 'Alaska', /ra/ like 'Clara' - Interjection, Ischarislan Heliopese. Portmanteau of eklas ("reality", or "the way things are") contrasting with alkara ("illusion" or "image") indicating something akin to our "No way!" or "Unreal!"

fivers, caddies, probies: Fivers are Class 5 agents. First solo field assignments, usually simple intel, observation, or mundane logistics. Caddies are cadets, ungraduated to agents but allowed clerical detail and in-field ad-hoc observation or live field training assignments. Probies are probationary cadets, tested socially, mechanically, and physically to determine suitability of any future as an agent.

Blueboy (also 'Pineshade' and apparently 'Neo') - Kalin Adriksehn, a Systemian (S2U5615) Agent with an unknown official status. Has a complicated history with Director Bridgman. Rumors abound. Has not been to Ytras' hold in a long time.

N.A.S. - North American Section (also "Columbia") - Systemian Sub-State occupying the Hytypican (S2U1094) landmasses known as Greenland, Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Central America to Lago Cocibolca. Its borders were roughly set in 1815, with minor changes. Still called "Columbia" by natives and many other Systemians, the official name first occurs on paper in the Global Conference of 1923, and is the name published on all IDOX maps and official teleontonic directories. Citing a place by its 'section' is the fastest way for a Systemian to identify you as a tourist.

S2U - (e.g. S2U1094, Hytypica [our actual dimension]; S2U1126, Vestinia [From Adriksehn:Skipper]) are a class of dimensional paths which share geology and, often, many historical or cultural aspects up to differing points in history. S2U paths are the most similar to our own world.

ekabra - /e/ like 'yen', /ka/ like 'cot', /bra/ like 'cobra' - noun, Ischarislan Heliopese - portmanteau of ekaba (beyond, over and above, too much) and yabra (idiot)

ADDITIONAL NOTE ON PATHS:
The three-character prefix in a path identifier is known as the chorus "S2" and hum "U" of the path. These are the terms Gerry is referring to when he's being a dork. The four digit number following it is known as the tone. No one really cares about this but Xenographer nerds, but who knows? Maybe you're going to write a story about shy Xenographer nerds from Heilgesland who find each other and fall in love or get synthesized by a latex entity or something.
