Koga

“Excuse me, I have a question. I don’t know how long you’ve been in Fuchsia so maybe you don’t know, but-” you start.

“HA!” he guffaws. “I’ve been here my whole life, save the last few years which I spent in Johto. I have this whole place’s history archived. Ask away, kid!”

“So Koga… the Gym Leader… is he dead?”

“Dead? HA!” he guffaws again. “Koga’s alive and well. I talked to him just last week!”

“Huh? But the Ninja Academy hasn’t heard from him at all! Where is he?”

“He’s in Johto. He said he was tired of the whole ninja thing. Not to mention he got a sweet gig with some organization that studies astronomy. The Missile Club? Shuttle Gang? Eh, whatever. The point is, he saw an opportunity and he took it. And it’ll probably bite him in the ass in the end! Life has a way of doing that, just when you thought you found something better. Never follow your dreams, kid.”

“But why isn’t he keeping in contact with them?” you ask.

“Something about ‘letting them find their own paths’ and ‘wanting to see how they’ve grown’. Not that it’s any of my business, but it seemed pretty irresponsible.” IT IS VERY IRRESPONSIBLE. “It won’t matter in the end, though. I got chewed up and spit out by Johto, so here I am in Fuchsia City again. And the same damn thing will happen to him, too! Dreams always end up that way!”

“Th-That’s not true!” you object. “I’m pursuing my dream right now! A dream of becoming a Pokemon Master!”

He shuts his mouth (for once) and stares at you for a second. “Is that right? Pokemon Master, huh? Well, tough luck girl, cuz you’re not the only one. You think you’re gonna make it instead of all those other people? Not like-”

“I do!” you declare.

“Nonsense. Ambition like that only ends in disappointment. You know what doesn’t end in disappointment? Stripping and prostitution! There will always be men willing to pay for some action. AND THOSE WHO ENABLE IT WILL ALWAYS BE DISGRACES TO SOCIETY!”

“I just can’t accept that advice. Once I become a Pokemon Master, I’ll command the respect I need to live the life I want. Exposure and sex with strangers will be a thing of the past! That’s my dream!”

“Huh. Looks like the newest generation of brats are just as foolhardy as I remember. Now if only the guests on my property could remember that I TOLD THEM TO GET THE HELL OUT FIVE MINUTES AGO! At least they won’t have any memory to lose when I BEAT THEM SENSELESS! ALL LIABILITY WAIVED!”
