He's ten minutes late. A real man wouldn't sit meekly and be kept waiting. You make up your mind to knock on the door and walk past the receptionist's desk. You knock on the door loudly a few times, but nobody answers. Just when you're about to walk away and head to class, the door opens and the receptionist and Miss Beaumont walk past you. Miss Beaumont's hair is askew and her dress seems to be on a little crooked.
The receptionist smiles at you and returns to her desk. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Mr. Hilliard will see you now."
