Chapter 57

Unless you want to just freeze outside
Knock, knock, knocking on Robin's door
Knock!
Knock!
Knock!
Viola bit her lip and hugged herself, waiting patiently for the door to open up. So, a nice hangout tonight at his place. What show did he said we'll be watching again? And then Lauren will probably fall asleep first, since she has work soon. Like her, guess they both have early shifts. Neat.
Robin popped open the last bag of popcorn, allowing the rush of steam to escape. The sound of the knock on the door was anticipated and quite welcome, and he easily crossed the living room to the door with a few steps. Ok, he thought to himself, just relax, this is a hangout, and we already... well, we already got the sex out of the way. A part of him still grew aroused at the though of how he had just seen the gorgeous young woman, and everything she had to offer him.
His hand scrabbled at the doorknob, before realizing that he had failed to undo the deadbolt. Grumbling at the necessity, he undid it, before pulling it open without ceremony to reveal Viola, standing there, and looking far too chilly. He had expected much more clothing, and he unconsciously licked his lips as his eyes roamed over her body. A soft warmth began to grow in the pit of his stomach, and Robin realized he was staring.
"Hey, Vee, welcome... " Robin quickly blurted, standing aside and gesturing towards the couch. "Lauren's still in the back, and I apologize for the puns."
"That's fine, heyyy." She nervously waved her fingers, cold and embarrassed at the same time. Their first formal introduction, she was psyched! "Nice uh, nice house hehe." She said as she stepped inside.
DVD Menus always had to be clever. Unfortunately, the Crypt Keeper's puns were a distraction that didn't need to be present in the room. Robin winced as a particularly bad one rolled across his ears.
"Just one more second!" Lauren's voice called from the back room as the sound of a faucet being turned off resounded through the room, only to be drowned out by a cackle from the tv.
"Hang on, let me hit mute here..." Robin groaned, fumbling for the black box that he'd dropped on the couch. The blessed silence hung in the air as he and Viola regarded each other.
"So... uh," Robin began, trying not to focus on his memories of not twenty minutes early, and Viola's nude body writhing in pleasure as she... "Hope you like weird popcorn..." Robin tried to think small talk. "I have this thing where I put two different kinds together, and it seems to work ok. "
Viola, for her part, couldn't get the scent out her mind. When he had opened the door, the place smelled lightly of incense and popcorn, but there had been an underlying scent of sex that practically oozed off of Robin. It made sense after all he hadn't... Oh god, Viola realized, she's still all over him. They had rinsed but... there was still that mark of Lauren on him, almost primal how that presence of another female on him both aroused and made her feel almost a little... jealous?
"Which side do I get?" Viola stepped around the couch, noting a small red bucket with what looked like shards of rocks and a hammer set beside. Her eyes lighted on a small white bundle, tied with a blue belt. "Hammers and glass? Oh crap, I just walked into the serial killer house didn't I?" She smiled at his back, which had rapidly retreated into the kitchen.
"Just some flintknapping I do," Robin explained, delighted to hear the approach of Lauren down the hall.
"****?" Viola boggled, "AAAAAH, Call the cops!" She settled onto the couch, amazed at how comfortable it felt. It was one that had seen a lot of love, she could tell.
"Flint Knapping," Robin explained again, holding up his hand and showing a couple small cuts on his fingers. "Just banging on rocks, but you can make some neat stuff."
"Ohhh, okay then." Viola nodded in understanding, despite having no idea what flint knapping still was. "So, what are we watching again?" The skeletal figure on the television screen had her more than intrigued. Oh gosh maybe they are serial killers.
"Tales from the Crypt! It's a show that premiered from the late 80s through the mid 90s, think of the twilight zone but much more gory and mostly bad endings for the characters. However, the best part is the twists... when they bother to do them of course. Some episodes." He seemed rather enthusiastic as he described the show, with Viola nodding her head with interest. He sat beside her on the couch as she kicked her shoes off and raised her knees up, feet on the comfy cushions. As they waited for there third member to join, Viola glanced at the bowl of mixed popcorn on the low carpeted box that seemed to serve as the table. Caramel, buttered, and cheese. She reached in for a snack, but so did he. Their hands brushed together and they both shared a blushing look before she giggled nervously and munched on a handful. Yup yup, still nervous!
"Dang it, I forgot napkins..." Robin began, trying not to concentrate on the feel of Viola's skin where it had brushed against his own.
"Got em!" Lauren called from behind the two on the couch as she quickly strode through the room. "You forgot drinks too..." She moved quickly to the refrigerator and opened it with a practiced move. "So, Vee, we've got milk, water, Seltzer, or I can always make up a pot of coffee since I'm heading out soon anyway."
"Erm, water would be fine. I don't drink coffee." Viola replied rather shyly.
Lauren seemed to take that bit well. "Don't drink coffee? That's a first, next thing I'll hear is you don't drink soda." She glanced over at the redhead who looked down before covering her face. "Oh my gosh, no soda either?"
"It's a choice, not a religion!" Viola squeaked back making both members chuckle back. Her shoulders felt a bit of weight slip as she giggled with them, and before she knew it Lauren had joined in the couch, passing her a water bottle and a Seltzer for Robin.
"So, you ready?" Robin asked in preparation, diming the lights before hitting play on the remote. Oh boy, here I am with two beautiful girls and I can't for the love of me ignore the images of this redhead naked. He adjusted himself in his seat as the show began, hoping to hide his ongoing erection. Damn shorts.
"Whoa!" Viola pulled back as a skeletal corpse-like creature began talking to her, the viewer, presenting them what this episode would bring. The puns were silly but stifled a giggle from her with both Lauren and Robin taking notice. Pull back Vee, no need to be shy. You're in their house, they're super kind and generous... just relax and be cool. Yea.
"Poor Stuart and Dwight, I bet they need a vacation. I guess they learned that stealing can have 'grave' consequences! But don't worry, I'm sure their criminal plans have been 'laid to rest'! HA HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE!"
Viola couldn't help but to laugh loud from that one.
