Chapter 2
by Yabusa
Which company ends up with the only Phase Binder in existence?
King Enterprises
When the news struck, it was truly front page worthy: the three ladies that had been touring with Yabusa Robotics over the past few months had stolen the Phase Binder! The police were able to apprehend the three criminals, but not before they loaded the device onto a van which disappeared shortly after.
Their claims of a conspiracy by King Enterprises to steal the Phase Binder fell on deaf ears, and they were arrested and charged with the theft all on their own. The three somehow escaped and vanished info thin air, which only increased the likelihood of their guilt. After all, what would Emilia King want the Phase Binder for if she didn't have a robotics company?
As it turned out... There is plenty one might do with a Phase Binder without the need of machines. Emilia had the world's largest collection of magical relics, enchanted artifacts, and occult trinkets. Each contained their own magic, which had its use within the form factor of an amulet, or a sword, or a cloak.
But in a warehouse on the far side of town, owned by Emilia King but left unmarked as part of a King Enterprises, employees worked out some fascinating conclusions: if some of these relics were phasebound to a human, the human might gain the supernatural powers of the object embedded in them, free to use at their fingertips.
Though, as they learned in their experiments, not every item made someone simply into a sorcerer. Some items have limitations, such as being bound to a master, and instead of making the phasebound body the master, instead it simply meant the human had **** but to follow orders. Of course, that's if the magical item didn't have a mind of its own and simply overpowered the human component in the phase binding!
Even so, nobody actually suspected Emilia King of owning the Phase Binder, so they could experiment as they saw fit in that warehouse. In fact, Emilia recently sent over a variety of items to use in the next round of testing. Perhaps it's worth taking a look in the boxes and crates to see what Emilia things people, such as yourself, should bind with...
What magical items does Emilia think should bind with a person?

Phasebound
Combining people with machines, supernatural relics, strange beings, or other people!
Yabusa Robotics and Motors had always been behind Hideki Technology's innovative devices, but a new breakthrough in a non-surgical means of combining robots and people changed the course of the tech company almost overnight. With Phase Binding, skin and silicon can exist in the same area in space, miraculously developing a means of electronic and biological connections with intuitive control and unprecedented sensory feedback. Because the people and machines can occupy the same space without any ill effects, the functionality of the machines was maximized without diminishing the human within. Despite Yabusa's initial successes with combining people and robots, other companies set their sights on the tech. Shaw Sciences wants to stick people together, Hideki Corp would like to combine people and inhuman creatures together, and King Enterprises has a whole variety of supernatural relics they want to embed within a person. All they had to do was steal the Phase Bind device and put it to their own uses...
