Kill Them

You draw your sword, it instantly starts to vibrate as the disruptor powers up. You take a step forward and then another. "Woh, Alexander you can get the first fuck, we ain't gunna take that right from you." One of the three men says. They know who you are, even though you don't know them and they respect you. You give them another look, a look of a predator looking at prey. They take a step back. "Alright, we won't fuck her, but you gotta kill her or we don't get paid," another of the men says quickly, with a nervous glint in his eye. All three had their hands on their swords now, but none were willing to draw against you.

"Forget you saw me and this girl and I'll let you live," you say with a bit of menace. All three draw their swords at that. They can't let the girl go or they won't get paid. Each and every mercenary is willing to risk life and limb for money and one man, no matter how tough, was not going to stand in the way of their pay.

Two of the men spread out, looking to surround you the last stood in front. You surge forward to kill the man in front with a quick stab. He blocks, but is thrown off balance. The other two come forward one high one low. You can't block them both, you go for the high blow which would easily split your helmet and spit your brains across the ground. You stop the blow by cutting the man's hand off, sending it and his sword flying.

You try to slip the low blow, but it is just a little too fast. You manage to shift away just enough to assure that the blow isn't fatal, at least not immediately. The pain is intense as the sword buries it's way into your stomach. The man seems both surprised and delighted that he managed to place such devastating blow against such an experienced soldier, but his delight is short lived as you grab hold of his hand stopping him from pulling the blade out of you. Your blade comes down in a quick arc boring it's way through his skull causing a wave of blood to splash upon your armor.

The first man was now back on the offensive. He sends three consecutive blows your way which drives you back towards the girl who was currently cowering where you dropped her. She hadn't attempted to run because there was nowhere to run. You kick her backwards with your leg as you continue to struggle to keep up with the fresher man. His blows were sloppy, but strong enough and fast enough to keep you on the defensive. You just had to survive long enough for him to make a mistake, keep conscious despite the blood flowing from your gut.

Then the man made a mistake, he decided to try and finish you off with a stronger blow. It arcs over his head and gives you just enough time to bring your sword to a point a push it through is neck. His eyes were full of confusion. He was sure he had you beat, but now your sword was buried in his throat and his life was spitting out onto your sword and hands.
