Keep the three hearts

You keep the three hearts, hoping for a flush. Lin says she’ll take two cards, then deals out the replacements. You don’t get any hearts, but you are dealt a seven and a jack. You hope your pair of sevens is enough.

Your heart sinks when you hear Claire say, “I’ve got a pair of nines.”

“Only sevens for me,” you say as you turn towards Lin. The smile has returned to her face as she turns over three twos.

“Nice hand, Lin,” Claire says. “We have to keep him one step ahead of us.” Claire looks at you expectantly.

“Here you go, girls,” you say as you stand up, undo your pants and slide them down. Your briefs don’t do much to conceal the bulge that has started to form inside. Claire stares openly at it, as if trying to judge your size. Lin isn't quite as obvious, but you still catch her stealing glances.

“Next hand,” you say confidently as you push the cards towards Claire.
