Keep the pair of queens

“Three cards for me,” you say. You’ve been lucky with the girls so far, so keeping a pair of them in your hand should work out.

Claire grabs at the cards as you deal them to her, a smile forming on her face as she sees them. “Lucky! I got a full house,” she exclaims showing the pair of sevens she was dealt to go with the three fours in her hand.

Lin’s reaction is more subdued. “I’ve only got a pair of aces,” she says, laying her hand down hopefully.

You get a worried feeling, seeing Lin’s hand, and hope that you can improve on your pair. Unfortunately, the new cards don’t help at all. “That beats my queens,” you say reluctantly.

“About time you lost,” Claire says. “It looked like you were overdressed around here.”

You pull your shirt up over your head and toss it in a pile next to you. “Is this better,” you ask.

“Not really. You still seem overdressed. But we’ll take care of that next hand.
