Keep the clubs

“Three cards,” you say, tossing your discards towards Claire.

“I think I need three cards as well,” Claire says uncertainly. You take a peek at your cards and find another ten in your cards. “I’ve got a pair,” you say, showing your hand.

Claire smiles at you. “So do I, but aces are higher than tens. Your luck couldn’t hold out forever.”

“I guess not,” you say, pulling your shirt off and tossing it on the floor next to you. “But I’m still way ahead of you.”
