Keep running for the fallen tree and take cover.

You ran as fast as you could and slide under the fallen tree. You turned in the direction of the shot but did not see the shooter. You waited for them to emerge from cover. When she did, you fired and ducked back behind your cover.

Deshawn congratulated you over comms.

"Great shot. There was a 2nd shooter with her. Kim got the other shooter just as you engaged the first. Hold position, and we're coming to you."

The drums were louder.

They are probably in a group of three like us. The third person is probably on the left.

You didn't know where this insight came from, but you watched the trees to your left. Just as Deshawn came into sight, an enemy stepped out from behind a tree. Deshawn kept moving and avoided getting hit, and you fired twice and took out the shooter.

Deshawn and Kim joined you.

"Holy shit, you can shoot! You hit him twice in the head. They probably don't have another team in this area, so let's move diagonally forward and engage in another group."

Your group cut across the battlefield, still advancing into enemy territory. Over comms, you learned that the enemy had eliminated your other advancement team.

Later, when Kim was running forward when she came under fire from above. The shots missed, but Kim tripped. Kim crawled under some brush, but it was poor cover. The drums surged. You spotted the shooter up in a tree, but you didn't have a great shot. Time seemed to slow.
