Kazuichi explores Mikan's triggers further.

"This is a video game!" Kazuichi shouted to himself. Technically, Mikan might hear too, but she was a bit wrapped up in her current problem. "Nothing I do here has any effect on anything, and when am I gonna be in a situation like this again? Besides, Chiaki, or the therapy AI, whoever... Even though he'd decided he was going to start treating this Mikan like the video game character she was, it was hard not to feel sorry for Mikan, looking like she was. Stunned, Kazuichi gave an honest reaction, shaking his head "no."

But still, if someone ever did see this, how much of his plausible deniability had he already shot?! And could he really pretend this was any kind of therapy? His heart was pounding in his chest, and he felt like he was about to go insane. It didn't feel healthy. He had to end it now...

Mikan looked at him sympathetically. "Is your groin still hurting from where Hiyoko kicked you? You can tell me any pain you're feeling candidly, Kazuichi. I am a nurse, after all!"
