Kaylee's Prescription

I wasn’t sure what to expect today. The only conversation I’d had with Kaylee after yesterday’s lunch fiasco was texting her goodnight. Today, she was waiting by my locker. Cautiously, I approached her.

“Good morning,” I said as I worked at my lock. Fidgeting nervously, she muttered a response. Popping my lock open, I shoved my coat inside. There was a serious need to clear the air. “I’m not mad at you.”

She didn’t respond right away. “None of that would have happened if I’d kept my stupid mouth shut.”

“If it wasn’t that, it would be something else later. No matter how much you wish it, nothing is going to mend things between Zoe and me.”

She seemed disappointed at the finality of my statement. “Still, I said something I never should have. You aren’t some casual fling I can gossip about with the girls. I messed up, and I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine.” Even if I was upset all her friends knew about my dick size now, it wasn’t worth the energy to worry about it. Brooding over it wasn’t going to change anything. So what if they all had bigger cocks waiting for them? The only girl that mattered to me was Kaylee, and she was happy with what I brought to the bedroom.

Mostly.

She took a deep breath, forcing a smile. “In happier news, I went to the doctor yesterday.”

“You did?” For a second, I wondered if she was sick or something. She seemed fine and didn’t mention anything about a checkup.

“Got something,” she said. Digging around in her bag, she pulled out a slip of paper and held it up. “Ta-da!”

Blinking, I focused on the writing. Several seconds, I shook my head. I couldn’t read the doctor's scribbles on it.

“It’s a condom prescription!” My eyes widened. “Now we can get all the condoms we want!”

It is telling that the first emotion to hit me at the news was exhaustion. Not having a condom was the number one reason I got any breaks at all. Knowing Kaylee, she was going to buy hundreds of them to burn through in a month or two.

“How did you manage that?” I asked with a **** smile. The good news was I no longer needed to ask my dad for them. It was awkward considering the prodigious rate we burned through them. He always seemed amused and muttered things about ‘being young.’ Absolutely mortifying.

Kaylee tipped her head back, looking proud of herself. “Well, since I am in the upper percentile of partners for my age and about to go to college, I told her I was worried about future partners not being forthcoming with their ranking. Besides, college orgies are always bring-your-own-condoms.” I think she caught on to my nervousness. “Not that we are going to any, of course,” she said quickly. “Unless you want to! I don’t want you to think—”

“Kaylee?” She stopped, blushing as she brushed loose hair from her face.

“Right,” she said, clearing her throat. “Anyways, I went ahead and bought some.”

“Of course you did.” She grinned in response.

“Don’t worry. You’re off the hook tonight.” I raised an eyebrow. Was Kaylee seriously turning down sex? Maybe the doctor should have another look at her. “Not feeling too well today.” It took me a few seconds to realize what she was talking about. Holy shit. I was a free man! I think I showed a little too much happiness because her eyes narrowed. “Really? That’s what brightens your day?”

Before she could say anything more, I leaned down to kiss her. “Love you,” I said with a smile as I closed my locker and adjusted my backpack.

Her fingers trailed over my arm as she walked around behind me. “Enjoy the break, Scott. You’ll need it.”

I believed her.

Following her, I remembered that I had a bit of bad news for her. “Uh, Kaylee?”

“Hmm?”

“Just reminding you that Liam and I are going to sit somewhere else at lunch.” She stopped dead in the middle of the hallway.

“What?” she said as she turned to face me.

I almost backpedaled at her look, but a strand of stubborn determination allowed me to stand firm. “I told you yesterday I was.”

“Yeah, but I didn’t think you were going to actually sit somewhere else.”

That kinda pissed me off. It was the way she said it, like I was some petulant child making threats I couldn’t possibly follow through with. “I talked with Liam about it. We agreed to try sitting somewhere else.” Angry blue eyes stared silently at me, her arms crossed.

“Sounds like you already know where this new place is going to be.”

I rubbed the back of my neck before guiding her over to the wall so we weren’t standing in the middle of the hall. “Yeah. We are going to try sitting with Ally and Sam.” I waited for her reaction and found nothing but a blank expression.

“Who?”

Right. She probably had no idea who they were. “Two girls Liam is… friends… with.”

I caught her shoulders relaxing slightly. She tried to cover her discomfort by brushing at her hair. “I didn’t know Liam had anyone like that.”

“To be honest, I didn’t either until just before we left on our trip.”

She gave a genuine smile. “Good for him.” I felt myself relaxing a bit. It seemed like things were going well so far.

“Yeah. It’s a bit complicated though. I kinda want to help him out.” Her suspicion was back. “I think Liam really likes them and wants something more than just sex. I figure if he has a chance to talk with them more… I don’t know. Maybe that will help?”

Her smile was back as she reached up and brushed my cheek with her hand. “That’s so sweet,” she said in a bubbly voice. I grinned like an idiot, only to cry out as her fingers grabbed a chunk of my cheek and pulled slightly. She was still smiling as she spoke. “And let’s make sure they stay friends,” she said with a firm look. Releasing me, I rubbed at my sore cheek. “For you at least.”

“Never crossed my mind.”

She gave a firm nod. “Good. You can barely keep up with me as it is. You aren’t at a level where you can handle multiple girls yet.”

Chuckling nervously, I let her grab my arm as we headed to class.
