"Hey Bro I was just wondering if …"

Gerald looked over and saw Katrina standing in the doorway, her mouth opening and closing in shock at what she was seeing, her eyes wide. Thinking quickly he looked at her and thought Stand still and don't scream or do anything to give Gerald and Elizabeth away. Katrina continued to stare at them.
"What … What's she ... What are you ... Oh God!" she said.

The wonderful emotions that Gerald had been feeling from Elizabeth disappeared. Both girls were crying and he felt shame, humiliation, and embarrassment from her and shock, anger and betrayal, from his sister. At first he thought his sister's feelings were directed at him, for having sex with her former friend, but then he realised that she was directing them squarely at Elizabeth, and what is more he sensed that his relationship to Katrina had very little to do with it.

Acting on a hunch he looked at his sister and asked mentally Why did you break off your friendship with Elizabeth?

-She was using me to get to Gerald!- Katrina's thoughts came back at him like knives -She pretended to love me, but she just wanted him! She made me love her! She's a heartless bitch!'-

Wow that was harsh! Gerald thought. Was Elizabeth really that evil? He decided to see for himself. He looked into Elizabeth's eyes and, because he was now wondering about her relationship to his sister, instead of to him, he saw a different set of images...

He saw Elizabeth and Katrina's friendship blossom into something more. He watched their first kiss and their first fumbling make out sessions. He realised that he had not been the only member of his family to star in her night-time fantasies. And he saw, again, the day when Katrina had caught her going through his room, how she had tried to deny the hateful things the Katrina accused her of and explain that she really did love her. Finally he felt her heart shatter as his sister had screamed that she never wanted to see her again! He now knew why both girl's emotions were so intense.

He looked over at his sister and tried to let her know what Elizabeth had really felt Elizabeth didn't betray you. Elizabeth didn't use you to get to Gerald. Elizabeth was bisexual and wanted both you and Gerald. She knows she was being selfish but she really did love you and, at the same time, loved Gerald, although she was too shy to tell him back then. She still wanted Gerald, which is why she allowed Gerald to seduce her now that he seemed interested. But she also obviously loves you too which is why she is so humiliated and ashamed that you saw her. She's afraid she's hurt you again, worse than she did when she was 16! She's afraid you'll hate her even more! You can see how that's killing her!

"Oh God!" said Katrina "Elizabeth! I'm sorry! I didn't understand! I don't hate you, really I don't!?

You can move again sent Gerald to Katrina while getting off the bed. Katrina ran over to the bed and began to touch Elizabeth's face and wipe away her tears, totally ignoring the naked Gerald. Elizabeth was so shocked at this reaction that she just looked up at Katrina until she began kissing her, then, as if she was in some wonderful dream, she began kissing her back.

"Um… I'll just go get cleaned up" said Gerald grabbing some clothes and heading for the bathroom. He sent a command to his sister like the one he had given Elizabeth, to keep quiet so no-one would disturb them, made sure to put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door (which his parents respected even if his sister usually didn't) and then went and got in the shower.

Once he had washed up and dressed he went back to his bedroom door. He could feel happiness and joy from both girls emanating from inside. Have fun he thought and heard a muffled giggle from inside. He decided to leave them to their 'reunion' and see what fun he could find outside.
