"Pardon me." Katie said, as the door bumped into a tall man with sad eyes complimented by grey sideburns.

"Nnot a problem." The man looked down at her with a vague smile. Katie straightened up, still a head below him, but watching the way he leaned over, like a tired bird bowing against the wind.

"I'm waiting for the bathroom." he said, jerking a thumb over his shoulder to the line of men behind him.

Katie cocked her head, and smiled encouragingly up at the man. "Good luck with that; isn't it usually the ladies' that has the wait?"

"Ha!" the man's laugh ejected from him like someone had punched him in the belly. "Uh, it actually sounds like someone had an.. incident.. in there and they're cleaning it up."
