Katie's best friend

Tess shrugs sheepishly again, she almost whispers, but still intentionally loud enough for both of you to hear. "Samantha."

This is not just someone else Katie knows, it's someone else you know too. Samantha is Katie's best friend, someone you've spent a good deal of time with. There's a sense that you're off to the races now. However Katie is feeling, Tess is going to turn this into an erotic scene.
