Karen visits a friend

(Karen's point of view.)

"Hi Mary", Karen greets her friend.

"Great to see you as always, but let me guess? You need a last minute place to crash?" Mary asks of Karen.

Mary was your best friend in grade school as she lived across the alley from your house. They moved across town when you were in third grade, and they moved from Green River City after ninth grade. You are only a few days younger than her. You explain the basics of your night. She says her mom knows you and her step dad is okay with you. Mary's mom remarried two years ago after the **** of Mary's father, five years earlier. Mary and her mother moved out to the sticks to live with her step dad. Their house isn't too far from the Smith place. Kevin drops you off there on his way back to the party. They have a lot of land and keep a few riding horses.

Mary only wants to go back to sleep as she was up at five in the morning for work. She worked with a study group for her history project after that. Her three much older brothers showed up for a surprise birthday dinner for their mom right after she got home from study group. Her mom's birthday is next Tuesday but with their work schedules and all and being Saturday that added to the 'SURPRISE'. You barely remember them as the youngest was in tenth grade when they moved.

Her step dad's nineteen year old twin sons are also staying here for a little while as their mother kicked them out, unexpectedly, due to her house being foreclosed, so the house is full. She has a love seat in her room and tells you it is all yours. She is sleeping within two minutes of talking to you. You try to sleep but need to pee. You go through the kitchen to find the main floor bathroom occupied. Should you wait, go to the bathroom down stairs in the walk out basement, or see if the upstairs bathroom is free.
